What counts as one record
One service visit's paperwork, showing the date, the shop and the work. Booklets and logs become one record per entry.
A record is one service visit: the invoice, receipt or work order for it, every page, and nothing else. It needs to show the date, the shop or seller, and the work done or parts bought. Mileage is useful but not required, so a receipt for parts you fitted yourself counts.
Paperwork covering more than one visit is sent back. If the pages show different dates, mileage or shops, you can keep one visit's pages for this record and add the others separately.
Service booklets and log sheets are the exception. When a page carries several stamped entries, you pick which one this record is, and each other entry becomes its own record from the same redacted page, without another read. A records page shows each one as, for example, entry 3 of 6 on that page.
Some documents are refused: anything that isn't a service record, paperwork missing the date, shop or work, and vehicle history reports. A refused document can't be saved as a record, and there's no way to type one in by hand instead. Fix the pages and read them again.
